Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief Review – I was little confused about face water spray, I must say. I didn’t know how to differentiate thermal water, face mist, makeup setting spray, and there is even this kind of spray that will make your makeup least longer. When I saw this product, I thought this could be a thermal water, but in fact it is not it.
I decided to buy it even not knowing exactly what it was going to do for my skin. The description sounded just fine and all products in the shop were 25% off. Go figure.
Anyways, some things are worthing testing, right?
What is the Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief?
On the Clinique’s website, there is not so much information, I would say. Which is a little strange, we normally expect the website to have a decent amount of information, detailing what is the product about.
In few words, they say it has moisture and active aloe, and will relieve thirsty skin. What I like the most is that it has not “one drop of oil”, as you can check below:
Trying to find some more information, I looked online a little more. Then I jumped to Sephora and while checking the product, this is the description I have found. See below:
Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief Key Claims
Having a little look on the info gathered from these two websites, we will have a little comparison on what they say the product does, and what I could experience from using it. I tested the product and I am going now to share all my findings, about the key claims of the Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief.
The key Claims are:
- Water your skin and thirsty skin relief
- Rapidly replenishes skin’s moisture level
- restores balance
- Softens and soothes
- Sets Make Up
Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief Waters Your Skin?
With this purchase, I bought some other skin care products on sale, and as my skin is oily/shiny, I got a facial washing soap from Biotherm, which’s main function is to control shine and olisoity of your face.
The soap bar was great by the way, and did exactly what it promised to do. But the down side was that skin would feel extremely dry.
Because of that I decided to use this face spray after cleansing. This was the first time I used the Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief and the feeling was just like: WOW!
Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief Rapidly replenishes skin’s moisture level and restores balance?
I think the claim above answers this question here. But I would have a few things to add. Sometimes I don’t like to use face cream. In fact, I don’t use facial cream everyday, because my skin does not like too much moisturising.
As I am washing my face every day (ofcourse) with the non shine soup from Biotherm, a few drops of this spray will totally relieve my skin without the need of applying ay other cream.
I don’t know if this would work for everybody (and probably not) but you can get an idea. It also softens and soothes the skin.
Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief Sets Make Up?
This is a big plus from this product. After I found out this Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief, my make up is much better and I will tell you why.
If you have read any of my foundations reviews, you probably know that I am a huge fan off the most natural look possible. I just can’t stand the idea of going out with a face full of make up, which I find totally disencessary.
Last year I decided to test the lancome miracle teint matte effect foundation just to realise at home that (yeah I tryied the product on the store but some things you just notice after, right?) well…coming back, just realised the foundation was a little heavy for my taste.
It was when I decided to spry Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief on my face before applying the base, then spray it on my beauty blender and then after finishing applying the foundation, spray it again on the face.
I also spray on the beauty blender before applying the CC Mac powder I have. Just loved the results. Now I use this trick every time, for every makeup product I use.
What I Dont Like about the Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief?
You must have noticed that I really liked this Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief, but there is something I don’t like too, which is that it irritated my eyes. Here is how the Clinique advises you to use it, But after doing that, my eyes were itchy.
I do not know how they will deal with it, if many people complained about the same problem as me, but there is something in the composition that makes my eyes uncomfortable. Having this in mind, I just spray the product on my hands and then I just gently pat my face and it does the trick.
Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief Final Conclusions
In general I liked the Moisture Surge Face Spray Thirsty Skin Relief. It was a pleasant surprise and I will recommend it. The skin doesn’t get oily or shiny, it hydrates the skin, helps with makeup application and sometimes I even use it instead of the face cream. It is a good idea for winter, summer, day and night.
