Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm Review

Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm Moisturise claims to be a facial anti-stress cream fluid. The main promise by Lancome is to leave skin soft and diminish stress effects.

I must confess the  following description convinced me:

External aggressors, emotional tension and tiredness stresses the skin. This can cause stiff, dehydrated skin, redness and skin sensitivity. Hydra Zen can remove the imperfections of skin caused by weather or tiredness.

I was a little suspicious but noticing that my skin started to dry up a little after washing, I decided to try Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm.

First because the brand has a good reputation, and second the description of the product convincing me to do so.

After a little research, decided to give it a try, hoping to find a good cream that would not irritate my sensitive skin.

Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm Ingredients

I am not a chemistry expert, but for those interested in knowing the composition of Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm,  the cosmetic-ingredients.net website gives us a good overview.

On the site, it is shown that Hydra Zen Neurocalm hasn’t got anti-ageing properties, Whitening and exfoliation power but is a good option for hydrating skin.

Here’s the composition

Water, Glycerin, Cyclohexasiloxane, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Dipropylene Glycol, Petrolatum, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Synthetic Wax, Butylene Glycol, Sucrose Tristearate, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Lecithin, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Sodium Chloride, Hydroxypalmitoyl Sphinganine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Phenoxyethanol, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Eugenol, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Triethanolamine, Crithmum Maritimum Extract, Polysorbate-61, Polyacrylamide, Cellulose Acetate Butyrate, Polyphosphorylcholine Glycol Acrylate, Polycaprolactone,Polyvinyl Alcohol, Poloxamer 188, Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Limonene, Propylene Glycol, 2-Oleamido-1.3-Octadecanediol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Carbomer, Moringa Pterygosperma Seed Extract, Ceramide 3, Rosa Gallica Flower Extract, Methylparaben, Octyldodecanol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Laureth-7, Fragrance

Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm Texture

Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm has a light texture and its application is easy. It is not ideal though for a facial massage, because the skin absorbs the cream very quickly.

The First Impression

In the beginning I noticed nothing special, except that this product did not make my skin red or irritated. After using for a little longer, my skin was soft I mean really soft. It feels like I am touching a peach.

I noticed the skin started to look a little shiny. For some people that could be a problem but in my case it was not.

After a while I noticed little pimples, (which is something that always happens when I apply creams on my face). But these pimples faded away as I continued to use the cream.

After One month

I can indeed feel my face is moisturised. It is less shiny as if my skin started to get used to the product. But I am still analysing the product. It did not irritate my skin, which is a huge advantage.

Final thoughts about Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm

Update – After using the product for another while I noticed a more moustirised skin. I must say the cream works in this sense.

As mentioned on the cosmetic-ingredients.net, is good to remind for those who are looking for an anti-ageing cream solution, this might not be the most indicated one.

It might also not be indicated for oily skin. As I notice that the skin gets shiny on the next day. But if you are looking for a cream with good smell and just to hydrate, then this cream is you.

In my case, some other creams I tried caused irritation. For this reason I will stick with this product until it finishes.
